Brittney Mitchell Counselling

Hi! I’m Brittney Mitchell, I was born and raised in Saskatoon. I love all animals and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a dog mom to a shih tzu named Frankie who keeps me on my toes every day! I am a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor’s of Social Work through the University of Regina.

I bring 3 years of individual and group counselling experience, along with 7 years working in the disability sector, where I was involved in supporting residents in a group home setting, program recreation and assisting in group work with a mental health focus. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support individuals with diverse needs and life experiences.

I specialize in working with adults (18+) facing a range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder. I provide individual counselling and strive to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey.

My approach is rooted in a trauma-informed, client-centered framework, drawing from therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and solution-focused strategies. I am passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges through a collaborative, compassionate approach, where clients feel heard, understood, and supported in a safe, non-judgmental space. My goal is to work alongside you to build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and support meaningful change
